Our Mission

In accordance with Matthew 28: 18-20, the mission of Greenville Baptist Church is to actively reach the world with the
Gospel message challenging people to become followers of Jesus Christ and grow in discipleship.

Bible-based preaching and teaching are emphasized encouraging spiritual growth, sincere heart felt worship and uplifting Christian fellowship.

Greenville Baptist partners with world wide and local missions and ministries to promote the mission and provide opportunities for service. 

Our Beliefs

Greenville Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation committed to the truth of God's word, and a member of the Baptist Convention of New England.

We Believe   The Bible is God inspired and His only perfect revelation of Himself to man. 
2 Timothy 3:16

We Believe   There is only one living true God. He reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 8:6, Matthew 28:19

We Believe    Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of the virgin Mary. He suffered, died, was buried and on the third day rose again. 
Matthew 1: 23, 25, Matthew 27: 59, 60, Matthew 28: 5, 6

We Believe    Salvation involves the redemption of man through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is freely offered to all who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. 
Acts 20: 21, Ephesians 2: 8-9

We Believe    Once saved all are kept, by God's power, in Christ forever.
John 10: 27-30

We Believe     Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It represents the believer's death to sin, the burial to life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Jesus Christ.

We Believe    The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby Christians remember the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
